Claude
Audio Controls

Tampermonkey

Set up the extension, learn the controls, or install the standalone userscript—all in these step-by-step guides.

1. Tampermonkey

Install Tampermonkey for your desktop browser using the button below.

Tampermonkey

2. Chrome / Microsoft Edge

In Chrome 138 or later, open Tampermonkey’s extension details and enable Allow User Scripts. On Chrome-based browsers without that switch, enable Developer mode on the extensions page. Refresh Claude after changing this setting.

3. Claude Audio Controls

Open the userscript using the button below. Tampermonkey should show an installation page; choose Install, then open Claude and start Read Aloud on a response. If you see raw code instead, first check that Tampermonkey is installed and enabled.

The script includes GitHub update and download URLs. Keep update checks enabled in Tampermonkey to receive script updates. Use either the extension or the userscript on Claude to avoid duplicate controls.

The extension and userscript share player, layout and language features. Browser-assigned shortcuts require the desktop extension.
