# Installation

Set up the extension, learn the controls, or install the standalone userscript—all in these step-by-step guides.

## ZIP

1.  Download a claude-audio-controls-v\*.zip asset from a published GitHub release. Extract it to a folder you will keep on your computer; use the extension ZIP, not the source-code archive.
2.  Enter chrome://extensions or edge://extensions in the address bar. Enable Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select the extracted folder containing manifest.json. Refresh Claude after loading or reloading the extension.

## Git + Bun

With Git and Bun installed, run these commands in a terminal. Then follow the Load unpacked procedure above and select the generated dist folder. To update a manual installation, rebuild or replace the files and click Reload on the extension card.
